Convention Report for MikomiCon 2007
written
by Master Jedi
This was the second annual MicomiCon convention and it turned out to be a pretty good convention. Both the staff and volunteers did an excellent job of pulling this convention off and made it run great and. There was allot of things to see and do since this is an Anime, Sci-fi and Gaming convention. Just as last year, the convention was located at the California State University Northridge campus in Northridge, Ca.
Some of the positive points that we found were; huge collage campus convention space, a good size video game room , gaming table room, a large dealer room, Artist alley, panels, Guests of Honors, Great surrounding locations and photo spots, Masquerade. There was also a Pirate rum party at the convention, which was a great hit too.
Some of the negative points included, events and panels overlapping each other, the hotel for the convention was 5 minute drive away, good food was hard to find, parking for the convention had to be paid for, no restaurants or stores open on campus, the pirate rum party was held at the same time as the dance so the dance music interfered with the rum party.
This convention was fun and it was in a good location to host the convention, the staffs for the convention were both nice and friendly and of course there were more and more cosplayers around to have fun than last year. These points made MicomiCon a fun convention to attend.
